2025 Inaugural
NM Local Food Summit

The New Mexico Food Summit is a two-day event on May 28-29, 2025, focused on strengthening New Mexico’s food system. Building on the Governor's Food Initiative and decades of work by community partners, the summit will unite key stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders to align efforts and maximize impact.

The summit will explore the economic and social importance of supporting New Mexico’s agricultural heritage through panels, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions covering food production, infrastructure, food access, and policy updates. It will also foster new partnerships and innovative solutions to support food enterprises, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Governor’s Office, state agencies, and core community partners such as:
